Description
Mason Amelia very proudly presents N1970, an ORIGINALLY-OWNED G1 SR22, renowned in the community for its meticulous sole ownership over a quarter-century by an FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot, COPA Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, and NAFI Master Ground Instructor.
A mix of classic function and modern capability, N1970 flew from Duluth directly to Chicago, and has lived there since. Flying the original engine 2,700 hours before overhaul, the owner KNOWS HOW TO TREAT AN AIRPLANE.
Here’s a quote from Bill Cunningham of Powermasters Engines after a recent cylinder rebuild: “This cylinder was as clean as your last engine…Absolutely amazing…piston pin had no build up on it and just slid out of the piston, unheard of with this amount of hours…exhaust guide was exactly my reamer size as I had originally cut it, it had NO WEAR, another unheard of…underside of the piston had no built-up, usually have to bead blast that to get the build up from under there removed. Please tell me your secret because your engines don’t represent the rest at all, just amazing. Keep up whatever you're doing, no engine has ever looked like yours.”
The aviation community could learn a lot from the owner of N1970. Her buyer will be the beneficiary of his careful piloting and doting parent-like ownership.
